Many many people do not write their own songs. At least its blunt that she didn't write them but covered them. I find that Birdy had given her own flair to each song and should be treated as such. Not everyone is going to like the same tastes. I love both versions of this song.

Many artist started writing their own songs around the age of thirteen. I'm not saying that she should have, but I think that an artist is someone who writes their own songs, and a singer is someone who sings someone else's songs.

I don't think Birdy is an artist, but simply a singer. I wouldn't mind switching lives though :)
