he has the best tone quality i have ever heard on tenor, bari, and any saxophone. sounds like a flute, clarinet, or a stringed instrument most of the time, not a sax. i wouldnt be surprised if major orchestras hired him. he would blend with any instrument in a band or orchestra

The funny thing is that, if swans could sing, they would sound like saxophones, though higher-pitched. (Trumpeters sound more like a muted trumpet or somewhere between that and a sax, to my ears anyway.)
He's on a custom Yamaha of some sort. And the mouthpiece is an S90, look at the groove in the shank. Equipment isn't nearly as important as the player though ;-) Just sit and listen, people...
