BAC, London, August 2003. This is just a very roughly edited selection of scenes of the unforthcoming DVD release of the musical production. Again, thanks everyone who helped us way back when!

EDIT:

This ran for four shows on three days at the "Battersea Arts Centre" in London, UK. And no, there is no DVD planned.

  • need more info on production date/place/family endorse? Ike, the potato headed one, is probably available, hell Dale for that matter too. lets do this NOW!!!!! thanks for upload.

  • @MrZeldasmagic I don't think this could be done with the "retirement crew". No offense meant, but Ike in a mask like that: lights out. The heat, the dancing, the singing ... all of that is just too much. It's a live show, not Hollywood, where a bunch of old men do an action movie & they still look good & can breathe & talk at the same time. Plus: FZ is dead. Only he could orchestrate the original cast. After 4 years of insistance Gail let us to do the teenage version. Full blown show? Good luck.

  • Curious you should talk of a DVD - some friends recently bought me one from an Oxfam (A DVD-R and CD-Rom of things like the audience appreciation forms). Good fun, although Thing-Fish is hugely difficult to hear in the tater head. If they had taken the performance on tour it would surely have seen a massive improve/lence.

  • @JeridanCork

I should like to see pictures of the items you obtained. And maybe you could tell me in which city you bought them? I'm still waiting for some audience recordings to appear, as I have seen people tape it from the audience. Please do get in touch!

  • This is amazing. I can't believe somebody actualy pulled this off. What Thatre was this? Did it play for long? When can I see it??

  • @SternikPK See the updated description of the video. There might be a bilingual pocket book about the experience in 2011 though ...

  • I love social satire.

  • @houdinination (Late) reply with pictures forthcoming!

  • @houdinination , I was thinking off stage using Ike's voice, just an idea, he did a great job on the original recording that, it just fit, and I'm sure he could use the monies. Of course this is just a dream, Any present day productions of Frank's work, would be a blessing. well one would hope ;) maybe a special guest star might give this production some creditability. I would go see it in any cast but...

  • VERY NICE

  • Long-time Zappa fan here. Never thought I'd ever see an actual Thing-Fish stage production. I'm going fuckin' crazy right now.
