A analysis of Senate lobbying disclosure forms shows that more than 770 companies and interest groups hired an estimated 2,810 lobbyists to influence federal policy on climate change in 2009 as the issue gathered momentum and came to a vote on Capitol Hill.

Increase of more than (!) 400% in the number of (~anti environmental) lobbyists on climate change in just six years.

Washington has more than five climate lobbyists for every member of Congress.(!)
