@surf902 Couldn't have said it better. I raced USSA/FIS from about '87 to '95. I've followed Bode his entire USST career. I could see what the media was doing to him. They invent stories to sell copy, both when they celebrated him, as well as when they made him a pariah. I don't really want to know how the media will, or has, spun Bode in Vancouver, but thank god the man can finish his career without that ridiculous artificial monkey on his back.

After all those years; after highs and lows in his professional and personal life; after two overall titles in 2005 and 2008; after 2006 Olympics controversy: "to be unceremoniously forgotten"; after separating from US Ski Team and then rejoining; after his worst season in 2008/09; after semi retirement from skiing in 2009; after not so many believed he can do it, - Bode Miller finally did it, and did it great, - three medals in 2010 Vancouver Olympics.
