The scary thing is the first girl when she says that it's great and that she came all the way there just to do that. So it's not just the people who manage the zoo. It's the education and the culture. What can you expect for animals in a country where Human rights are hardly respected? As someone who's lived in China, it doesn't surprise me. There's a lot of animal cruelty going on there. Particularly in the markets. Why not throw yourself out there for us to watch bitch?

I'm not bothered at all by the sight of predators doing what nature created them to do. What does bother me very much is the shots at 1:55 and 2:02. Birds crammed into tiny, filthy cages. A monkey with heavy chain clamped on his neck. -That- is animal cruelty, not the brief suffering that a prey animal experiences at it's death.
