I love the fact that Rickman is blatantly reading some of his lines from the magazine he has in front of him! Nowt better than crib notes.... mind you, dint have em in my day......!
He put in a couple of gems, I'll give him that: "We had to drink from a Turk's slipper" was great. And "..singing Yes sir I can boogie" was funnier than the original: "'allelujah", but I stand by my other comments!
aerialkate.... I think we both watched a different sketch...vic was great in that!... I didnt see much delay at all... eddie did a little scottish though lol... VERY funny sketch and a great portrayal of the typical Yorkshire man...always cracking on he had it worse lol
Vic Reeves arrogantly ruined the rhythm of the sketch by taking too long to deliver his lines. He didn't even sound like a Yorkshireman (odd, since he is from Yorkshire) - Alan Rickman did the best job with the Yorkshire accent.
I know they tried to put a new twist on an old sketch, but they should have respected the original script (which is perfect), instead of trying to out-do each other. Very poor.

Actually all of them are, but Rickman's performance always hits a soft spot
