I had my first Xbox and it lasted 3 years, i guess its alright. But then my second (only 2 years) got the rings, i tried to fix it and BAM, it failed the next week. I know, it sucks.

Lol, orly? Because my xbox failed on me more then once and each time i took it to bestbuy and they exchanged it for a new one and gave me my hard drive back

x box 360s failure rate is 30 % ps3 is 1%. my buddys x box crapped out on him it cost $300 to fix it and a few months later it got the rings of death again . at least u paid $150 i would to .
