RS600 at Pitsford Reservoir (Northampton) the weekend of the Tiger Trophy. Wasn't out too long as my fingers were freezing.

  • Looks good.. Thoughts on someone 5 10" 100 kgs ish and sailed a 300 for 12 months. Would a narrow wings be ok for me or am I too heavy??

  • The boat will take 100kg+ not a problem. You will need narrow wings, only people under 70kg i think can race with wides.

  • is it possible for a 15 year old to sail aboat like this?

  • Very much depends on weight and ability really. I am about 84kg and that is the small rig on the 600, very rarely use it but it was blowing 40knots+, only boat out that day.

If the 15 year old is 65kg+ and has trapeze helmed before he/she should be ok, it will take a bit of learning though to get it round a course initially.

  • Fair effort Chunky, mildly dissapointed at kiddie rig usage. Knowing you i suspect it was windier than it looked. Fantastic soundtrack though. Hopefully I will see you at the 600 inlands -- Dickie

  • It was 40knots+ that day honest!

Only one out and it took 4 of us to rig and launch.
