INFO: I wasn't trying to prove Steve Jobs right or anything at the time, I was conducting research on my own. Obviously you don't hold your phone this way too often.

After locating the antenna, I tried to block it off to see whether RIM had done a good job or not isolating the internal components. It fares rather well but it does show that not all phones are immune to such phenomenons.

  • Am I the only Bold owner on the planet that doesn't have this problem...? I could hold it 1000 different ways and squeeze it until its about to break and I still have full signal. Check my video.

On a side note, its kinda sad that apple is saying, "our phones suck, but so do other phones" lol, Sounds like a 6 year old getting into trouble and blaming the other kid 'cause he did it too LOL

  • @08SilveradoLT Maybe if your video was a little less shaky we could see somethin'. Just saying.

  • which theme is that? and are u running os6?

  • @08SilveradoLT I don't have antenna problems as well. In any way.

  • @trueleech saw the video and it was just fine. I think it just depends on which one you have

  • @trueleech I know the quality of my video is not all that good (very old camera) but you can see that the bars don't move. If you want, I'll do another video from the "Status: Signal" screen showing -70dBM the whole time. My theory is that it's not as common among the older BB's

  • heh there is no reception drop with an iphone 4. The issue was resolved by a firmware upgrade that shows you higher signal strength than you actually have. This fixes the problem with the iphone 4. ah haahahahahaha appholes are funny.

  • @DarkLyrist but who will hold the phone like that? i mean the regular way to hold the phone

  • The 1st Bold has no issues.

  • @oscar7romero I use bluetooth.
