Kat & Gail hit the road and visit Seattle Espresso Machine Co., creators of the Slayer commercial espresso machine. In this first installment, we meet some of the crew, talk with one of the founders, Eric, about the machine's history & technical theory and watch Sam of Equal Exchange demonstrate how to use the machine. Delicious shot included!

  • Steeeeeeeeeeam.. :D

Get in there and get a steam facial. ;)

  • @jdharding2 Another chapter in keeping it clean! ;) - Kat

  • Just under a minute total shot time including the preinfusion and ramp-down. Using this as a slight guide for the manual pump control, pressure regulator, and check valve that I just installed to replicate this brewing profile. The shots are already really improved. :D

  • @rcdrvrrc7 Great to hear! Would love to see a video of it if you're willing to share :D - Kat

  • This is pretty Steampunk

  • @gadgetnoob Ha ;) - Kat

  • @SeattleCoffeeGear Oh you don't need to be polite. You can say it's fragment of a fraction of the slayer's price. X-[

  • @gadgetnoob Well, your Uno is also a fraction of the price so good from that perspective ;) - Kat

  • So, in other words, my Ascaso Uno does not compare. :,-[
