Decades before, really? I can imagine that they knew that, but for the sake of argument included it in the show. I wonder what that says about the 'we can say everything now'-conclusion of the fragment.

This was THE scene that sold the show to me and turned me immediately into a big fan. A stroke of genius, really.

Mad Men is the greatest advertising campaign for Lucky Strike in the last 50 years. Great show though.

"It's Toasted" was actually a tagline that the real Lucky Strike company used for many years in their ads.

Don Draper. He's toasted. Not cured. Never will be! But we love him...

Wow. This is how great advertising works... As he says: Advertising is based on happiness. How to separate yourself from the competition: "Luckystrike is toasted"

Fuck you, faggot. Lucky Strike was one of the few things Second World War veterans had during the war to keep them relaxed. The Marines on Guadalcanal, Guam, Iwo Jima and Okinawa.. The Soldiers in Europe, during the Normandy Invasion and Battle of the Bulge.. All those servicemen had lucky strike. A cigarette was the only pleasure those men had in an environment of pure hell.
