Khorkina is the queen of the bars, no doubt about that

I'd say that Khorkina had owned the bars since '95, not '97... Consecutive wins since 1995 for Svetlana - the absolute, undeniable queen of the unevens.

I acctually think that Ling Jie was overscored and Yang Yun deserved the Bronze medal.

@scatterplot4 I couldn't agree with you more. I thought Yang Yun's routine was spectacular and was better than Jie's.

Uneven bars are my weakest point - it's so fun to watch all these people doing so perfect routines. Does anyone know how to do a triple on your dismount. It's so amazing! Sveltana Khorkina had a really high degree of difficulty!

@jbsoccerzmusicz17 yeah, I thought so too, untill I discovered she's just 1,60 meters! thats about 5 feet and 4 inches...

Khorkina seems really tall compared to most gymnasts, or maybe thats just what i see.

Karpenko should of gotten bronze (because she was better, but also, because Yun was underage)

i've sort of always preferred yang yun's performance in these event finals to ling jie's...i dunno, it just seemed like yang yun was smoother, swung better, and was much more natural about her kips and casts
