To sprout chia you soak it overnight in water (approx 1 part chia to 9 parts water). It forms a gel and you can spread this gel onto a natural fiber cloth (this sprout doesn't work in a jar). Then you get it wet twice a day (morning and evening), not so wet that the seeds fall off the cloth though.
So if the cloth is on a baking sheet for instance you'd lightly flood the baking sheet and gently drain it so that the cloth is made damp.
