  • The Equator is a big Imaginary line around the planet and don't Cross just on one point in specific, I think Those Guys need some Geography classes.

  • When you are constrained to a sidewalk with a wall on one side and a busy road on the other, you only have one point where you can cross the ecuator. I would have loved to walk along the equator, but didn't think it was worth getting run over by a truck.

  • the monument is just another point where the equator crosses, just like where you are standing!

  • No, actually, it's not. The monument and the E-W line through it are a few hundred feet too far south. The monument was SSW of where we were able to cross the equator on that road.

  • You were correct, the equator it´s a line of more than 40.000 km and cross all over the world, but the only point that you can find an specific spot in San Antonio de Pichicha city (Ecuador),is on the road, all the museums and the big monument are wrong.

  • WOW, thankz i would have never figured..

  • mmm....that's a good point.
