DYBIG Chapter 9 (For real!)

"You're under arrest for the murder of Nicholas Jonas"
The smaller policeman got behind me and handcuffed me. My mom walked into the front hallway, carrying Penny. I heard my mom say,
"Allie, who's at the door- Oh... What's going on?" her eyes were wide with horror. I began crying when I saw her and realized what was happening.
"M-mom, I-I" The big policeman interrupted me.
"Mrs. Carpenter?" She nodded slowly, her hand over her mouth and her eyes even wider than before. "Your daughter is being charged with the murder of Nicholas Jonas." She looked at him, her jaw dropping open. She turned her head and looked at me, her eyes full of terror, shock, and utter disappointment. She began to cry.
"Please, officer! Allie wouldn't hurt a fly! She couldn't have KILLED anyone!" The police officer just nodded and said,
"We'll settle that in court. But Miss Carpenter will be spending the night in jail. You can come downtown tomorrow to sort everything out. Goodnight, Ma'am." and then he proceeded to read me the Miranda Rights thingy and then lead me to the backseat of the police car. They backed out of my driveway and I saw the neighbors in their pajamas staring at me through their windows.
I couldn't believe that this was happening.
(At the Police Station)
"Well, here's your cell," Gary said. Gary was the smaller cop. He opened the cell, unhandcuffed me, and locked the door again. "Goodnight Allie." I heard him walk away. I sat down on my cot. I started crying again and laid my head on the pillow, sobbing quietly. I guess I fell asleep.
A few hours later, I woke up because I heard a loud thump from somewhere in my cell.
"OUCH! Shit!" Someone hissed. I sat straight up. I relaxed when I didn't hear anything else. It was probably coming from the cell across from me. I laid down again. About five minutes later, I felt something cold pass over me. The air conditioner must be faulty. Great.
But then, I heard the rustling of clothes. Movement. Then I saw a flash of white. I sat up, quickly. I squinted my eyes, and looked around, scrutinizing the place. I was positive that there was someone in my cell now.
"Hello?" O called out in a whisper. "Hello? Who's there? I can hear you." No answer for a minute. But then...
"Hi. Are you Allie?" I nodded, then realized that whoever was in there couldn't see me.
"Yes. Who are you? Why are you in my cell?" I was getting scared.
"I'm supposed to haunt you. But... I don't know how. They didn't explain much to me." HAUNT me? What the HELL does that mean?!
"Haunt me? I don't understand... and like I asked before, who ARE you?!"
"Well... um. Here's an explanation to both of those. I'm... Nick Jonas. You murdered me about 7 hours ago."

Cue the scary music! LOL
So my first day of high school is today, and I'm really nervous. EEK!
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What grade are you in?
