The SDM's are all now retired, and the old DM&IR tactonite jennies are being replaced now by CN.. GREAT P5 on the unit too. Only 1 DM&IR unit still in its paint remains..

@quimbyt My notes say that it was cloudy that day, 22 in the morning, 35 for the high. Shot this train about 11am, so it may have been about 28 degrees. Thanks for watching. Jackmp294...

why was the bell on the 2nd locomotive ringing along with the 1st loco's bell?

@joshmeister4449 The way DM&IR has it set up was that when the bell rings, it should ring on all locomotives. If you look at some of my other DM&IR clips at grade crossings, you will hear the bells ringing on the other units. I do not know their reasoning on this. Thanks for watching. Jackmp294...

@1jackdk The reasoning behind the bells is that Duluth, MN has an ordinance against blowing the horns, so the Missabe figured the more noise they could make the better with the bells.
