Oh well, we're just talking about a slimy fish that has absolutely no needs other than food. But that makes no sence does it? I suppose God, if you believe in one, wasted time making habitats. But then, who is smarter? I'm sure being an inteligent creature, the fish I mean, if given a choice would'nt want anything more than what it has. Hey, it's your fish treat it the way you want. Lots of people treat living creatures that way, just watch the rescue opporations on animal plant.
@randy12368 I love that , Animal Planet , I watch it all the time. I was just thinking.....technically , I rescued him from a fish store and he might have ended up in a worse place. But he had a good home with me. Ten years taking care of a fish is a long time. It was only a couple inches long when I bought him and he reached 12 inches long. I see your side of it though. The fish are grabbed out of their environment and put into small glass prisons.
People are assholes, yes that's you. How would you like to live in a small house of glass with no sence of a habitat? "Duh, I never thought of it that way.. Oh well, I'm just a dumb fish." No... you're an asshole!
@randy12368 Think about it another way......That fish had a wonder 10 years of not having to worry if a bigger fish is sneaking up behind it to attack it or eat it. It never went hungry and had the best food. It acted like a little puppy, excited when we came home and watched everything going on in the room. It noticed strangers in the house and would get into a attack mood and open it's mouth to be big and scary. We got another oscar so it wouldn't be lonely. Oscars are very smart.
@randy12368 Oh we had rocks and other things in the tank, but the oscar would move them all around and almost broke the glass shoving a large rock across the whole tank. He broke the heater one time. I'm not sure how he did that. Probably slammed it against the tank.
