The way I see it, Kiko's fall-back tactic is a highly effective way of avoiding being flanked. It keeps your enemies in one direction. He usually runs to a corner and around it, meaning his foes have to turn the corner, giving him more time to shoot their heads off. I don't know if you planned it like that Kiko, but it certainly is effective.
