Author Richard LeMieux discusses his new book, "Breakfast at Sally's". In it, he relates his incredible journey from riches to rags to restoration. LeMieux was homeless on the streets of Bremerton, WA, and was helped by The Salvation Army. This book, from Skyhorse Publishing, will give you new insight into homelessness.
Very touching story. It sure does open your eyes and make you aware of the suffering in this world, and not far from you, in your own town, in fact. And the callousness of "family" was hard for me to read, too sad. You get more compassion from strangers.
