I took advantage of a very foggy, misty, rainy day to make some awesome videos on the Norfolk Southern mainline in Duluth, GA. The trains appear to materialize from nowhere, run by, then vanish once again into the mist.

In this video, a short intermodal pulled by two widecab Dash 8s splits the fog, blasting an awesome Leslie RS3L horn with a killer Doppler effect! (Sorry about the crazy at the end; tripod got bumped!)

  • That Leslie sounded so GREAT in the rain!

  • Sure did, didn't she?! 8D

  • For whatever reason, trains always look best in rainy, foggy, and gloomy weather, and this video is no exception. Seeing as this is only part 1, I can't wait to see the rest of these videos. One heck of a doppler effect too, my goodness!

    Liked and favorited. :)

  • I agree! It's such a great setting in so may ways. Currently, there are two parts, but if the weather stays this way, there may be more! Thank you muchly ^^
