@GUYM3065 yea
-
it sure was, it was the correct siren for that era
-
The same siren was featured in the money-delivery scene in the original Taking of Pelham 1-2-3 on the 73 Fury.
-
OK, I understand now.
-
Why would they make a siren with no Wail function? The wail function is THE classic siren sound.
-
That hi-lo sounds like the ambulance in Death Wish
-
i think the dukes of hazzard sirens were dubbed in in post production and the dubbed in siren was based off a pa 20 or somthing similar
-
WTF?
HiLo?
Isnt this 1970's America?

It was a NYPD type of thing that they did so you could tell the diffrance between any other emergency vehicle that was responding besides a NYPD unit. That was also the Idea in the 1960's when they had the Pulsator siren, The FDNY and EMS had Federal Signal model 28's and the NYPD Had the P660 Pulsator.

Signal Stat is the Company that produced this Siren, I believe that SP did some Sub Contract work for Signal Stat but I am not sure. Both Signal Stat and SP are out of business for quite some time now.
