Its obvious that you probably have never even talked to a Hawaiian, im pretty sure "the last you checked" means you read an article somewhere stating that majority of Hawaiians voted for statehood. FYI living in Hawaii does not make you native Hawaiian, and since America ILLEGALLY overthrew the monarch and seized Hawaiian land(among many other things) I am NOT an American. Your statement is like saying black people WANTED to be slaves....

It is even in documented in childrens American History Books that we took Hawaii by force. They was ruled under a monarch and it was a WOMAN who was in current power too!
