Authorities responded to a report of a smoke-filled house on Oskaloosa Street in Pella this morning. When firefighters arrived, the house at 328 Oskaloosa was full of smoke but there were no flames. According to Assistant Fire Chief Joel Braafhart, the smoke was caused by a toaster. No one was injured and there was no damage to the house. Police blocked-off a section of Oskaloosa Street for about 10 minutes as crews tended to the scene. The Pella Fire Department, the Pella Police Department and Pella Ambulance all responded to the scene.
