SB.TV was invited to the British Library for the gathering of three incredible minds. They discuss the current state of hip-hop and it's misguided use by the youth of today. They underline the various struggles in making music as an independent artist and deliver great wisdom for the new movement. An important watch, one not to be missed!

In addition there is a sneak peek of Saul Williams dropping serious bars. The full-length performance can be seen here: http://vimeo.com/17350230

  • akala, lowkey, saul williams - the Three Wise Men

  • @TheWannabeKorean he is M.K. Asante, Jr. Author, Filmmaker, Professor

  • i want m0:00re

  • the mcdonlads metaphor is spot on, the music we are getting shoved down our throat on the radio is shit, but go a bit deeper and i would say hiphop is probably the strongest its ever been on both sides of the atlantic. in uk we have some real telent (akala and lowkey) and america there is some politcal stuff (tech, diabolic) and some real philisophical stuff (eyedea, kristoff krane). its all there!

  • @jackarypo You're American, "I'm done".

  • Liked it before it even started :)

  • @jackarypo You're a fucking idiot.

  • @jackarypo Lol Akala didn't get one GCSE he took his GCSEs early and got invited to the Royal institute of Mathematics. Unless you're at that level he's smarter than you.

  • Akala got one gcse. Im done

  • With the amount of shit going on in the world, the uk is falling apart etc.... instead of listening to politics and finding out what will happen to us all or how to resolve it, I am happily sat here listening to these guys as to be fair, they actually seem like some of the wisest people out there. So next time david cameron wants to go on a rant about our countrys debt, go out there like these guys, and get experience of the world then come back with a solution.
