The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help in solving a robbery and shooting in Northeast Portland.

On Saturday May 5, 2012, at 5:14 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct responded to the report of a shooting at a residence in the 5800 block of Northeast Lombard Street. Officers and medical personnel arrived and found the victim, 63-year-old Shaun Lazenby, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Lazenby's injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

Witnesses told police that two suspects entered the home and forced 34-year-old Tomeeka Rus onto the ground and tied her wrists and ankles. The suspects also forced Lazenby onto the ground as the suspects removed jewelry and property from the house.

One of the suspects shot Lazenby then both ran outside and disappeared into the neighborhood.

Suspect #1 is described as a white male in his mid-30s, 6'2" tall, medium build, light reddish-blonde hair, fair skin, wearing a yellow safety vest, orange hard hat and light-colored jeans.

Suspect #2 is described as a white male in his mid-30s, shorter than 6'2" tall, medium build, dark hair, and wearing a dark sweatshirt.

Well that's a clever idea, however not very effective first of all an employee wearing a safety vest and hard hat wouldn't be so blatantly stupid to wear his uniform into a a residence to steal jewelry.... Desperate people do that and these guys blatantly stupid smart thieve would have done their research and hit an upscale neighborhood..... These knuckle heads were looking for some fast cash, I mean who goes to North East Portland to burglarize a home..... Someone comfortable in that area...
