Sylvanas is not a former blood elf OR night elf. Look up "Sylvanas death" you will see a video, she is a blood elf with blue eyes, called a "High elf" arthas killed her on his mount. She was then turned into a banshee, and she seeks revenge on arthas, and leads the undead army, known as the forsaken.

@snozwanger234 it was the curse of frost mourne that kept sylvanas in undeath she was one a high elf and yes it is properly said high elf for the blood elfs craved for magic sylvanas was slain by arthas and was kept alive by frostmourne
