Love the song but it makes me cringe that at the climax of the song it's the USA that's in the shot of the planet. Have it rotating ffs. It's not just their fault that we struggle to make sense of this world.

@davyjames money is a tool, that is correct, no more or no less evil in the well meaning hand than a gun; unfortunately we as a species have a real propensity to invent things and review the consequences later.

I love the words in this poem!!! 100% agree with what you have written! Excellent work!!!!
I'm not religious, but that doesn't mean I don't believe in spirituality. There's a difference between conforming to organised religion and having faith in your fellow man, and the beauty of this world. I think this piece really taps into that, and shows the real darkness to the human condition. We were given the means to create a utopia, but instead we ravaged the planet for our own personal gain. That says more to me about my fellow man than any religious text could ever do.

I once asked a holocaust survivor if he believed in God. He said that "men do not need God to survive, but God needs men to survive." I don't think this view is described in atheism, theism, or agnosticism. I share your view - God is like a child's imaginary friend: he can do anything a man wants him to. He exists as the imaginary friend of almost all men, and only has power because he is a force that most men believe has power. God has power because most people say he does.
