Don't buy a mac, here's why

A Mac might sound like a good idea, but here's the real deal.
I bought my mac with the accessories that I needed for a total of $2700.
A 15 inch, macbook pro, i5 2.53 GHz, about 11 months ago. Since then, I have had so many problems with it that Apple had to change the Hard Drive, and the logic board already. Now, the logic board is failing again, that's a 3rd repair on a computer less then 1 year old.
The issue isn't that Apple is not servicing the machine, but rather that this mac needed so much service. Apple has been pushing and pulling me back and forth with many appointment to the genius bar where they check for the problem, and MYSTERIOUSLY NOT FIND IT! Well, I decided to record the Problem on my phone and upload so that everyone else can see.

My Macbook pro's screen suddenly shuts off and the computer becomes unresponsive and I have to restart it manually. iPhoto, Aperture (which are photography and photo management programs) stop launching, and many many more things just lag.

So, when you think about buying a Mac, know that you are paying up the A$$ for it, and you will be getting the runarounds from Apple as long as you own that computer.

Get smart, get a PC. for 700$ you'll get a pc with the same specs as a $2000 mac.

I had that problem and the issue was a magnet that i had on a bracelet that kept making the comp go to sleep every time the magnet hit the side of my mac

@thejapanesezombie i have an HP computer, one of those compact verson with a CPU fan blower and at 12v it sounds like a dang hairdryer!

darn right i had went through 1 iPod touch (2nd Gen) and what do they do stop making compatible firmware for the unit and the new one (4th Gen) 90% of the time all the apps (even media player)( iOS 5.0.1) crash and i have crash reports up the wazoo and so i broke the warranty by installing Cydia and speed intensifier. now 40% of the time. so long story short apple is not all it is cracked up to be. and also to top it off 8GB iPod -------- 6.39GB useable.

@dman2ist PC is pretty awful. None of them last very long hardware wise. I've never had an HP but way back in high school I made the horrible mistake of investing in an Acer. A year later it broke, charger port was loose, then the screen went. It was a mess. I will never buy a PC again ever. Besides, one of the reasons PC's lag after a year is because their applications/ programs are made from fragmented files :P PS. I kind of understand spanish, I speak a latin based language too. Romanian. :)

@thejapanesezombie exactly I already buy 2 pc both hp and they both are trash one of them the battery don't charge any more and for the same one the charger burn and for the other one the battery the same problem and the screen when off all that in less than a year the meaning in spanish for hp is hija e puta it means whore

had my mac for two years with no problems other than a battery needing to be replaced after 1300 charge cycles. Macs are surprisingly tough and last for what fels like forever.

Laptops can break. And Apple has a crappy warranty policy. That's why I like Asus. Very reliable, and still good standard years pickup and return international warranty.

Macbooks are pretty reliable too by the way. But they better be for the price you pay for them.

Have you ever thought that yours just might be broken apple will replace it
