Fantasia at the Paradise Theater NY Pt. 1

Fantasia performed on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Paradise Theater. Eric Benet opened for her. Now let me tell you guys. This area missed its chance on seeing the "Back to Me" tour. Unfortunately, New York was snowed out and the show was cancelled. On the flip side, they got the "Back to Me" concert and more. It was spectacular. She started out with the Cab Calloway "Ah di Ah di Ah di Ah" and went straight into a medley of her songs as she did in the "Back to me" tour. This crowd was da bomb. After her medley, she did "Free Yourself", "Man of the House" then she went in on the theater about the "Gates" "move da gates" as she is so famous for doing. I do not understand why she has to constantly tell these venues this stuff. Well she broke out with "I'm doing me" the crowd went berserk. Really!! Did I tell you this group, including myself was jamming before she came out on stage? We had a party in the theater with the lights on and a D.J. It was awesome. The crowd was not ready for her next tune, which was "Collard Greens and Cornbread". You would have thought Obama walked in, that is how hard that song hits. I'm telling you guys, Love her. Then it got silent and she started to sing, "I can't stand the rain and I don't know why I love you" which is the best part of the show to me. She also sung "Come Together" by the Beatles. Just an awesome job. Then the band let loose on us. This is the best band right now. I am serious. Tasia had to give NY a "Kiss" she rocked it. Hey, watch how Tasia danced her but off all night long. Please check it out my sister is the boss. Okay the night wouldn't have been good with some Chaka, so she "Told us something good" and the the mood got extra bossy when she sand "Purple Rain" This crowd was totally showing Tasia the love she deserves. Tasia also took a moment as she often does to show God how blessed she is to be where she is and for him keeping her through all of the unnecessary drama. It was spiritual and it was extra hard for me to keep the camera still.

After we calmed ourselves down she showed us how she really felt and bust out with "When I See You", she gave the crowd love so I showed the crowd some love too by making sure they got on camera. Tay started to scat "gi gi gi gi get up" it was off the chain. "If you can't do nothing but bob your head, stomp your feet". Let me tell you what she did though. She laced us with Go-Go. I really feel like she did it for us fans of DC. It was so awesome. "The overnight scenario"

It was almost time to go so she did "Back to Life" It was da bomb. It was so much more than the normal "Back to Me" tour. I am so glad I did not miss it. When you see this, you will be glad I did not miss it. She scatted her but off. She sung "Teach Me" which was excellently done. What was so great was that she did "No Woman No Cry" by the Bob Marley. It was the truth. I know you all can tell I am still hyped. Well she sung "Bittersweet" and my camera cut off and I had to remedy that one. I cut it back on really fast too. Well she went and took us to church and she started to thank those for coming out. The surprise was that she actually thanked us, the group from DC that always comes out to see her. She literally called Dons name and my name. I was so excited the camera went out of view.

She gave us a little bit of her rendition of "Summertime" and slowly grooved into "Hood Boy" and walked off like she was leaving. Everyone thought it was over and some folk started walking out. Tasia came back out and did "Move on me".

This was the most awesome show alive and I am so glad to be amongst her most loyal fans. Glad to know her and glad she knows me. She is a beautiful woman and I know God has so much more in store for her.

@otzmechick I never get it or pay it any mind when folks get on and comment about weight, hair etc. The point it so watch and comment on her performance and talent. Some people are always worried about the wrong thing.
