Concrete caskets - Up Close!..Creepy!

What the hell are these concrete caskets. Maybe they are estimating how many they will need for 2009 regular business.

What a tard!!!!! These are vaults. They can either be placed into the ground and a casket placed inside of it, or similiar ones can be stacked for the purpose of building a mausoleum. How did you figure out how to operate a camera, if you are such a dunce about this!!!!!!!!!1

Burial vaults which are put in the grave and the casket is then set inside the cement vault. This is to prevent settlement of the ground in years to come when the casket deteriorates.

@karen2006p I work for a burial vault company who manufactures vaults and we go out and perform the burials. The main reason Most cemeteries require vaults is for the safety of the caretakers. A casket will breakdown and rot over time. without a vault the grave would cave in when an excavator or backhoe is driven over the grave to dig a new one.

Interesting how different countries deal with disposing of bodies. A burial Maori in New Zealand is once you lay the coffin at rest. Fill in the hole and you end up obviously with a big mound which is decorated with flowers and such. It is customary to return 1 year later (depending on the density of the ground) and erect a Headstone in memory of your loved one followed by a quick service. Recognised as an Unveiling. Not so common to have a mausoleum or even concrete vault. Happy Days

We are looking at a huge cemetery in LA. These are vaults waiting to be bought & used for the upcoming deceased. They may have not nearby storage for these vaults so that is why they are there all lined up. In many states it requires that you purchase a vault for your loved one's casket. They say reason is so the casket is not damaged by weather or wear. I say its all for the money to take from the families.

yea these are burial vaults that help prevent the earth colapse over time and protect the casket and body. some states by law require em.
