I was in high school... first class of the morning was Art Class with a trippy dippy hippy teacher that let us listen to the radio, the old Houston KLOL station, when they announced something similar to this except it was "breaking news" you could hear in the announcers voice he was trying not to cry. That was a very bad morning, thankfully I have had very few mornings as bad as that one.

Hey.. you know what people, I was 15 when I got the news of that plane crash... my older brother was literaly devestated upon hearing that news... I was kinda new on the scene but I remember that horrible day !!!!

I remember that night. I was leaving the weekly movie at Norton Auditorium at the University of North Alabama. "Tommy," at that time one of the weirdest movies I had seen, had kind of bummed me out. I walked to my car through the cold October rain, turned on the radio and the DJ was telling of the crash. I just turned it off and drove home in silence.
