So do you recommend playing the paper and pen version in order to appreciate this game when it comes out? I'm a huge fan of cyberpunk stuff, (Bladerunner, William Gibson, Ghost in the Shell, Deus Ex etc.) but never actually heard of the "Cyberpunk" series until now. From what I have read it seems like there are a lot of books to buy, could you suggest a few to start with? Also is this a single player pen and paper game or can multiple people be involved. Sorry for all of the questions :p Thanks.

I've been waiting for this game my whole life!!! I fell in love with the world wayyy back with the paper and pen. I still have the original rule book as well as the newer rule book V3.0.

The original is 100 times better then v3.0 because of the art work..skrew the action figures!! lol

I work with R. Talsorian Games, the guys that wrote the Cyberpunk 2020 series. Corebooks are available at our website if you'd like to check them out, and PDFs are available online!

Also I'm surprised you guys didn't make any comment about the song in the trailer. Not only was it a cool song that really fits the setting but I really felt like this is a song her character actually listens to as part of her therapy/reprogramming to keep her more stable. It seems to be embracing the beauty of violence but it's a song about emotions and a cyberpsycho doesn't have emotions ergo it would serve to actually pull her back from that kind of mentality and keep her human.

I'll admit it didn't even occur to me that she could be braindancing. I thought it was clear that she had gone cyberpsycho and killed a bunch of people and then been captured with the guy being a key part of her capture, reprogrammed, and is now a member of the squad. If she was a playable character this would give her a nice little background story that would undoubtably be thrown in her face by her enemies "You think I'm evil?" and lead to an interesting relationship between her and the guy.

I stumbled upon the trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 by accident, and then this video after, and wow! As somebody who never plays video games, I'm so impressed at the details in this video and how much depth a video game can have. This game looks really cool - sadly, I am shit at video games. But I might buy it for my sister - she'll love it.
