@AryanSanity To add to your correctness, How the flood started was by the humans finding an adrift Precursor ship (Spoiler: Last Precursor = Grave Mind) Found a veil of some kind of powder that they deemed good for their pet life and this powder then mutated their pets making them a devouring parasitic life form AKA the flood. And then started to ravage the universe and while the humans fled from this onslaught they accidently ran into forerunner space sparking the Human Forerunner war.

@IWHBYDxGears not true... Spirit of Fire encountered the flood long before Halo CE on a forerunner shield world (Halo Wars)... The pillar of atumn didn't randomly slipspace jump either. Cortana used the star coordinates found in a chrystal on one of the planets that the Master Chief defended before Reach. (Fall of Reach)
