Fire - A Summer Solstice celebration 2008.mov

What with the Winter Solstice nearly upon us I thought I'd better upload the video from the Summer celebration. The fire I had was only small and the night was decidedly wet and windy. I still stayed out there for a couple of hours and by the time I stomped back to the caravan through the high grass the fire had burned down to a few little embers. The long wet grass meant my trousers got very wet, then eventually dried out by the heat from the fire. Walking back out of the field I got very wet again and I was glad to get out of the constant drizzle and in to the comparatively warm and dry caravan. I spent some of the time by the fire on the phone, the rest contemplating the first half of the year just gone and the second half to come. I must say that many things turned out the way I might have hoped where as other unforseen stuff also happened.
