@uberaudioexperience thanks for the feed back

@gokarter57275 Yep, I still have it. I have not had any issues with it. I think it is a pretty high quality bike. I am thinking about trading it and my GS500F in on a Yamaha FZ6R, but it would be hard for me to let this bike go.

@duckmanjoel I might have to check out that wind screen. Thanks for the info on it.
Also, not having to slow down for speed bumps is one of the benifits of riding a dual sport. I never slow down for them. LOL.
I also like that this bike is kind of unique. I almost never see another true dual sport, when I am out riding. It makes me feel special. LOL.
Thanks for the comment and ride safe.

I have the 2006 that I bought new. I set my trip mile to zero every fill up. Fill up at 100 miles and have never had to use the reserve. I changed the seat and tires and added a wind shield. The wind shield helps with side winds too. Check out the Parabellum Wind Shield for Suzuki DR650SE. The windshield brackets will bump the gas tank, so I had to put a piece of black hose as a "soft touch" contact point. I love to drive through neighborhoods with speed bumps because I don't have to slow down.
LOL...love the hot girl brake in the middle

I noticed on your Youtube site you go to Kennesaw State. I live in Acworth
so when it gets warmer, we should check out the neighborhoods with the
speed bumps. As far as your gas mileage, I had to turn down the idle from
the factory setting. Just some screws on the carb. Turn the idle down once
the bike has been warmed up. You won't use as much gas at the red lights.
Advrider also has a lot of good info at the DR650SE section as far as wind
screens, etc.

@duckmanjoel Maybe should check out some of the Forest Service roads in the mountains. I know FS 42 that leads to the starting point of the Appalachian Trail would be fun to ride on. It is long ,one lane, and all dirt. Maybe, in the spring.
I think my gas mileage might be ok. I just always prepay at the pump, so I am always guessing how much I need. Sometimes I guess wrong and the tank does not fill up all the way. LOL. But, I will keep that in mind about adjusting the carb. Thanks.
