Learn how to cook Thai food the real way with a real Thai. I was born and raised in Thailand, and I lived there for 20 years. I have always been obsessed with food and can't think of a life without it, so I went and got a nutrition degree in Canada, cooked in a few professional kitchens, and then off to culinary school in San Francisco. I am passionate about my culture, particularly its food, and I want to share it with the world. That's why I'm here. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do making it. Kob kun ka (thank you)

  • Thank you for your video, your are an excellent instructor, and I love how thorough you are in your explanations. Please keep posting more Thai dishes. Do you have a recipe for Hibiscus flower tea and or Thai Iced tea, I think they would be a great additions to your collection. Keep up the good work Pai! Your #1 fan

  • @631flyrail Thank you! You're sweet. Sure I can make Thai Iced Tea one of these days!

  • Hello my son just made your recipe for Khao niewo mamuang. I think yor instructions are great, you are a fantastic teacher ("Geng mag"). The only problem we had was that the mangos we buy here in Fresno, come from South America, and are not as sweet and delicious as Thai mangos. I told my son that the final sauce should have some sweetness, to help compensate for the non-Thai mangos. He said the instructions did not add sugar to the final sauce. Your thoughts? kop jai mag, Acharn Steve

  • @tanta1 Hi there, glad you decided to make it! You can add the sugar to the sauce and even up the sugar in the rice. The coconut sauce is usually not sweet, but you're right, if the mango is sweet then it's not a problem. If the mango is just outright sour, however, this dish isn't really worth making to be honest... Better go with durian and sticky rice or something.

  • I started watching because, to be honest, I thought you were hot. But, I actually learned something. Thanks. I'm not much of a cook but I think I'm going to try this. I should've written the ingredients down.

  • @FUBAR956 So glad you learned something! That's the whole point of it, the rest is just a nice bonus :)

  • I wish you had your own show, compete with Rachael Ray. I am kind of tired of her now. She has been on the show too long, need the change, next will be you! I have been trying most of your dishes. I did not know how to cook pad Thai, now I am so good at it. Thanks so much for sharing your knowlege with others who don't know how to cook Thai food. Kob koon mak..mak and also you are so beautiful and nice..HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012

  • Love your work, really makes me want to learn more dishes, I am married to a Laos woman, and she enjoys my cooking, even more so how I can cook the Asian dishes. Great JOB! One quick thing, I love presentation too, i would have recommended a darker colored plate, or maybe off colored plate, small dessert maybe with a blue, or light blue plate so the colors stand out, but also help to suppress the hunger with a small dish. So they say about blue dishes, but this way everything would have stood ot

  • I would like to play with your mango

  • You should be on a TV show Pailin. Excellent job!! I'm going to make it tomorrow. Thanks.
