FACTS & FUTURE OF SOLAR ENERGY

As C. Louis Kervran remarked almost 50 years ago, the Sun sends to the planet in just ONE hour as much energy as the
ENTIRE human specie uses up in ONE year! (actually, it was in just 20 minutes in September of 1964, when this observation was made, but of course energy use has been on the rise since...)

And that, just in the spectrum perceptible to us, which might be anywhere between 5% and 25% of the total energy received by the Earth from the Sun and the rest of the Universe.

Clearly, the way we produce and consume energy is so inefficient and close to senseless as to look like a (really bad) joke.

More, considering that WE ALREADY HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY to live in a very different way, it is close to
insanity continue doing what we do! And with climate changes on their way, it is truly time for us to change the way we do things.

At least 3/4 of the energy the Earth gets from the Sun is invisible to us, and, as a rule, we do not use it, and
don't even try to use it. How can we change that?

This video explores one of the ways to do it, just one aspect of the future of solar energy, and how engineers are
the key to a completely different world. It's a great eye opener, and as such, a must see!
