Hassidim and "regular" Jews are all Jews who believe in the exact same religion, ideas, and beliefs. There's no "Hassidic" religion. They prefer to literally live by the word of the Torah (what non-Jews call the first 5 books of the "Old" Testament), as well as incorporate a large amount of mystical philosophy, which ponders the deeper meanings of life, death and what lay beyond to the ends of the universe in the afterlife. "Regular" Jews take what they want from the Torah and go with the flow.
