@bnodurft Ok, cool - that makes more sense for 16 years ago... now you can buy an ROV with HD video that will go down 1000 feet for about $50k.

There you will find links to the current Canadian law regarding access to the Fitz and also a discussion about whether she lies in Canadian or U.S. waters. Type in NO COMMERCIAL DIVES ALLOWED ON FITZGERALD in your search engine for another report about the topic.

@bnodurft Actually The Fitz IS off limits as of October of '09. I seen a Documentary about it on The History Channel the fine for Diving the Fitz is astronomical.

This video looks like it was taken with an ROV (with a poorly matched lighting and camera system BTW), NOT from a diver. And why does the ROV have a microphone?! What do they expect to hear on the audio? Voices? Whales?!

@MrHobiecat The video was obtained by personnel inside Harbor Branch Oceanographic's submersible, the Clelia.
