Signing Naturally Gum Story

My final recording of the Signing Naturally gum story in ASL.

Comments/criticism are welcome. :)


The basic story:
A little boy is chewing gum when his mom calls him to come home. His mom doesn't like gum, so he spits it out and sticks it to a bench. An old man comes and sits down on the bench to read a book. When he tries to get up, he's stuck! He pulls the gum off his butt, throws it on the ground, and walks away. A dainty woman walks by and gets her high-heeled shoe stuck in the gum. She pulls it off her shoe and flicks it away. It lands on the trunk of a nearby tree. A young couple walks in and the girl leans against the tree. Her boyfriend leans over her and unknowingly sticks his hand in the gum. He tries to pull away and realizes that he is stuck. He pulls the gum of his hand and throws it aside, and it lands back on the bench. The little boy returns and notices that his mom isn't watching, so he searches for the gum. He spots it on the bench, pops it back into his mouth, and continues enjoying it. :)

your signing skills are very natural. it seems like you're not an asl 101 student, or you have been signing for a while and needed to take an asl 101 class in order to move on to other asl classes?

the entrances/exits aren't according to what the book wanted to see (i.e. woman enters from left and leaves to the right).. also for the gum placement.. sometimes you didn't specify exactly where the gum was placed.

but these minor details can be overlooked. i'm impressed! keep up the good work

@kiwisnotmelons legal helps keep population under control. also who know that baby may grow up to be apart of a terrorist act, or mass murderer. who know it may be the next president but by that time the world may not be worth it. pro choice the government shouldn't be able to choice what you wish to do with your body.

@kiwisnotmelons so it would be killing the infant that is a live and heart is beating. also you want to have no say in what you can do to your self? you want the government to say O you cant do that . but its your body, it is your choice. also if abortion is made illegal, there will be a lot more female deaths, and a lot of women getting illegal abortions, and what they used to do was stick hangers in there and kill the featus. making it illegal would do more harm then good, also keeping it leag
