  • The lute out of tune, OK, but I don't understand how the paino is out of tune as well

  • I am afraid the Piano is not. This is what you feel when the Oud "lute" is playing an oriental scale with oriental notes and the Piano is playin harmony

  • I'm sorry to say that the oud player needs more practice and also his oud is not well tuned. sorry again.

  • he has been playing for almost a year, so I guess this is fair for a one year old player

  • The piano here has more power over the oud. I think you cannot combine oud with piano in one movement. One is western instrument and the other is eastern. They cannot be combined.

  • This is what makes this music different. Combining oriental and western instruments.

I studied both Arabic music and classical, regardless the comment is not about me or you...if you want to contribute critic the peace itself not me.... what do you base you argument on ??? could you support your argument with something other that "even the late said darwish?"

  • Even the late Said Darwish put the piano in his composition... Such a coments usualy come from te people not knowing nider the great Arabic music, nor the huge Westers musical language....

  • Piano's structure as an instrument does NOT fit Arabic scales at all in my opinion. Arabic scales are much more complicated than the classical ones yet have more freedom and less organization when performed. the classical piano will always sounds out of tune when combined whit Oud or kanoon. Regardless, then was a freshness to this peace that I enjoyed.

  • Genial... grandiose,,,,

  • excellent performance.. where do you guys usually perform?

  • You guys are really good

  • Very Nice .. is that "Jaddal" between the piano and oud ... oud is somehting i would love to learn ... for those interested check my clip on playing oud on my keyboard ...

  • A very lively discussion about the OUD vs. The piano.

Well it brought tears to my eyes to have such a beautiful work on YOU TUBE for us in the US to enjoy.
