Watch this clip from Chan 2 news and VOICE YOUR CONCERNS at public hearings.
Hearings will be held in March 2008 for the Draft Environmental Impact Study.
This news cast is from people who turned out in Portland in the Fall of 2005 to voice opposition to a Casino in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge - previously federally protected. Now the governor is trying to change this, which has surprised many people who had always thought the state governor was pro environment, natural parks, and for protecting that which makes Oregon unique and special.
As it turns out this may not be the case. Money seems to be driving these decisions and not what makes sense for Oregon's environment and the people who live and visit here year round.
