@calvintoronto Sounds fantastic, in fact I know it is! You are very lucky to live in such a country.

Oh no, I just found it very curious, as they don't seem to have an electrical hookup etc. They had a big garden though...living off the land kind of thing. They are across from that rather odd but quiet trailer....

Hello, Cal! No, I can't tell you more but I will be bumping into a friend who lives on Bidwell tomorrow at the Manitowaning Fall Fair. I will ask them to see what's up. Were you interested?

hey cj!
I was at Holiday Haven last year, and I see that someone has occupied that old schoolhouse (or whatever it was) on Bidwell, just past the turnoff to HH. Can you tell me more?

As an Islander - have lived here for about 8 years - I can attest to it's rugged beauty, serenity and quaint life-style. I drive past this view several times a week and it never ceases to move me - the various seasons, the varying light and natural beauty. Thank you for showcasing The Island!

Everyone who visits Manitoulin stands on that spot sooner or later! It really is incredible! And it never changes. So, when you're ready to come back to Canada, it's ready for you. : )

@calvintoronto Thanks! It's going to be at least a year or more before I return to Canada. How is the economy doing over there these days? Seriously thinking of emigrating when I'm done with university in a couple of years.
Anyway, I do have a photo of 10 mile lookout on my first video 'Canadian road trip'. That was the last time I crossed the Atlantic and I've been dying to make a 4th visit to your beautiful country.

Well, because our financial institutions do not mirror those of the US, the recession here was almost non-existent. Our banking system is the best in the world, according to the World Economic Forum. Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver....all bustling! And plenty of Manitoulin-like places to visit when you aren't working!!
