Hello!~The camera I'm using for my HDV shots is a Sony HDR-FX1 - I'm not sure which is better, the HV10 or the HC3 - they both seem to have a lot of similarities, zoom range/HDV/etc... I've used Sony for the longest time without problems, but I've also seen good footage coming from Canon DV camcorders (mainly the GL-2) in editing sessions... so I'm kind of evenly divided on both of them -- it's better to see if you can test demo models out to see which one works better for you, handling, etc...

The way I've been doing it is to take it into a program called MPEG Streamclip (a freeware program) and converting it to a QuickTime movie with the MPEG-4 codec, sized down from 1920x1080 to 420x237, and then I upload those files to YouTube. The original .m2t files from the camera itself take slightly less than 200 MB per minute for me...
Yay morning Doves. I saw 2 today outside my back porch. My squirl friend came back, and I saw a group of Blue Jays, and 1 Red Cardinal. Besides those not so rare birds, lots of sparrows and ravens. Nice vid, reminds me of my friends in backyard.

Thanks!
Ravens? We don't have *them* here! Just the crows - very cool! I haven't seen Blue Jays in a long time! There was an abundance of squirrels today, and I think we had about 8 or 9 Mourning Doves visiting at one time!

Thanks! I just went over there and joined - it would be nice if YouTube would allow 16:9 native video files, but for now you can only do 16:9 letterbox...
