xp is better than vista at gaming , vista requires more from ure comp so dont get it

Vista has DirectX10 which gives you better graphics but XP is a better operating system and gives you Directx9 which still gives pretty good graphics, and XP uses less HD space.

aero will be turned off automatically if you start a 3d application

only farcry ut2004, and games based on the hl2 engine.
all worked fine.
