Introducing dynamicperception.com and the timelapse dolly stage zero prototype (aka v2.2)!! Dynamic Perception's mission is to provide low-cost and easy-to-use photographic motion control systems. Drop an email to info@dynamicperception.com to receive notification when pre-orders are available in the coming weeks!

Sean Stiegemeier used our prototype v2.1 to produce his stunning footage of the Iceland volcano (www.vimeo.com/11673745) and the results speak for themselves!! We have made significant improvements in v2.2 which is our pre-production model. The final product will have even more improvements!

Horizontal, inverted, diagonal, upside-down, and even sideways the setup possibilities are only limited by your imagination. Quick release and ability to use as a slider to preview and adjust your track position before starting your timelapse move. Easy to use and VERY flexible motor controller (not shown, details soon).

The bottom line? Entire six foot rig (you supply the sticks and camera head), motor and controller for WELL under $1000..

  • Can the track be disassembled to smaller/portable sections for travel/shipping?

  • @NickolasRocker yes I'm literally testing that yesterday and today.

  • Great idea and it just impressive, LOVE it.

ps: I realy enjoy the music, who is the composer?

  • @dugry18 thanks for the heads up. added to the description: "Human Imagination" by Maxx

  • Really beautiful and clever design. Is the future pan & tilt head will be compatible with only one controller? Is the motor can be drive at higher speed for a dolly shot video? Men, this is exiting :D

  • @MagoJunk the controller will be OPEN SOURCE! check out openmoco . The motor could in fact be easily swapped out for a faster one... we designed this with timelapse in mind so you'd have to determine if the 'realtime' capabilities suited your needs or not.
