Former Internet entrepreneur Scott Trautman chose country living in 2003, the year he decided to buy a farm and raise chickens, cattle and pigs in Stoughton, Wisconsin, twenty minutes outside of Madison.
Like a growing number of people worldwide, the Trautmans are committed to the organic movement but they're also interested in nutrient-dense food that is dependent on nutrient-dense soil.
Scott's farm is both organically certified and biological which means he does not use chemicals and simultaneously applies minerals to his soil using Dr. William Albrecht's soil balancing techniques (PhD, Professor of Soils and Chairman of the Department of Soils at the University of Missouri College of Agriculture in the late 1940s).
The video was shot at the Trautman Family Farm Harvest event on Sunday, October 15, 2006.
I proud of that dude.

The Mad City Chicken is a bit envious. Looks like you're doing a great job.

Your beef and eggs were the best I've ever tasted, hands down. You got something good going there. Keep it up.

in holland, europe, the term 'family farmers' means big, non-biological non-ecological farmer industries, that plan to build fascilities to store over 20.000 pigs (esp. for export), now that the rights to keep pigs will be available to anyone in 2008
