How to build your own Natural Swimming Pool. A swimming pool that has clear water without using chemicals. These pools rely entirely on the plants and animals to condition the water. This is so effective that this pool has been tested and shown to be of drinking water quality. Also, through the continual natural "cleaning process" the pool water never needs changing, saving water. Chemical free so it is healthy for people and wildlife. Wild Swimming at home.

  • @bucketheadsucks Sorry to dissapoint. One of the hazards of coming from Liverpool.

  • @DragonPriem They do work in hotter climates. The swimming zone depth needs to be deeper than this 2.2 m pool, at least 3.5 m to keep it cooler. And a pale coloured floor to help reflect sunlight. This pool is black because in the UK we need all the heat we can get.

  • @DurzaGaiden I agree, there may well be situations where a natural swimming pool is not suitable.Todate, hundreds of thousands of people have used natural swimming pools I don't know of any serious illness caused by swimming in them, but you're right, it would be impossible to exclude the possibility of contracting a disease, even though the evidence (Europe based) at the moment is that the probability is extremely low. And of course, chorinated water is not without its own hazards.

  • @leesoarez Thank you!

  • @bellatrix127 Hi, yes it has been tested by a certified laboratory and shown to be perfectly safe for swimming. It even passes UK drinking water standards in all 70 parameters tested.

  • @davidpaganbutler As rare as the cases of N. fowleri infection are, they're still a serious issue when they do happen. The last reported case in Europe was in Czechoslovakia in 1965. The most recent ones were reported in the Pakistan and the US, the latter ones being reported in mostly southern states. Perhaps the average water temperature in Europe isn't ideal for the amoebae.

  • @davidpaganbutler What a lovely video! I'm subbing, brother (=

    Keep it up!

    Abração (=

  • Have you tested in a certified laboratory the quality of the water? If there are not such documents to show the suitability of the water to swim in or accidentally drink it, I am sure that this could be dangerous for the health of those people swimming in...
