  • @buffyfoo normally I would agree when I see something like this but it is a real truck and real washers and hate to say it, not green screened or CGIed on top of those, they truthfully drove that truck on top of those washers....whether they supported the washers in another way I don't know, but it is real. I saw the making of. (of course I can't back that up since I can't remember where I saw it, although a number of people did take pictures of the event)

  • @salemcripple firstly its a fake and second off ur right

  • Not that impressive really. These trucks despite how big heavy they are, have a VERY low psi footprint because of the size of the tires (the weight is spread out over a large area). A monster truck will in fact float just like a boat because it's tires are so wide.

  • well yeah dogman its erics dad driving (my uncle) ut eric cant drice till he is like 16 i think!

  • actually thats obsession, last year Rick raced erics futre truck while that one sat in the shop as they repaired it

  • yes actually.

  • actually it's eric's obsessed truck (used to be obsession).

i think eric is rick's son, right?

  • @Blutspritzer I don't know what you consider a full-sized monster truck, but I can tell from the commercial that the truck that has the Maytag wrap is the Obsession monster truck. Google Obsession Racing. And that truck is 12 feet high and 12 feet long at least, I dunno what 'full size' is I guess.

  • I was involved in the filming of this commercial, which took place at Downey Studios. The truck is real, but not a full sized monster truck. Its more like 3/5. It still had a huge motor however, and ran on ethanol which reeked of cotton candy. I found out you can actually choose which scent you (the crowd?) prefer. Haha.

As for the machines, there was a steel retaining wall 2 in. thick that was bolted into the cement along the outer walls of the 1st and last machines. Kind of like book ends.

  • their only about 10,000 LB
